KBS® Foamcoat HS

Our intumescent mastic

Intumescent sealant for fire protection of single and bundled electrical cables, single combustible and non-combustible pipes in wall and floor penetrations according to MLAR (applies to Germany only) and for the installation of cable and mixed penetration seals.

KBS® Foamcoat HS: Kunststoffgebinde mit 15 kg Inhalt; Kartuschen mit 310 ml Inhalt

Packaging units: Plastic containers with 15 kgs content, cartridges with 310 ml content

Technical features / advantages

  • Intumescent sealant, develops a heat insulating carbon foam when exposed to heat.
  • Halogen-free
  • For use in dry indoor environments
  • Prevents the formation of toxic and corrosive gases and smoke

Area of application

  • Dry interior areas
  • Joint sealant for cable and mixed penetration seals in combination with cable fire protection coating KBS® Foamcoat and mineral wool boards to achieve flame resistance and smoke tightness in fire compartmentation
  • Fire stopping of individual cable and pipe penetrations according to MLAR (applies to Germany only)

  • Classified for use in panel seal systems according to EN13501-2
  • Approved for use in panel seal systems in Germany (abG): Z-19.53-2323
  • Approved for use in panel seal systems in Switzerland (VKF fire protection application)
